ICE STORM 2011!!

Hello everyone! It's time again for what I call a "picture post!!" I finally posted an update all about the holidays 2010, so it's time to move on to memories from 2011 :)
And we will start with the most EPIC of all Atlanta events, lol. ICE STORM 2011!! The snow storm blew in on a Sunday evening (1-9-11), and then turned to ice for rest of the week, literally crippling Atlanta. Super fun to play in, not so fun to drive on!!
Just another Sunday evening, you know, waiting on the scary snow storm...we were kinda wondering if it was really gonna happen!

Just so happened to be celebrating our Christmas this weekend with the Adham parents!

So it began to snow....

And it was cold!!

But we were excited!!

Mwahh!!!

Why yes, I actually did catch a few on my tongue in case you were wondering!

Kay & I looking cute with our freezing noses!

SNOWWWWW

Help it's blowing in my face!!

How YOU doin'?

Loooove!!

So dramatic ;)
Pretty sweet.

Don't do it!!!!

Yippeee!!!

Snow Angel :)

Anddddd now my butt is wet!! lol

Cute hat you got there ;)

Monday morning...work is cancelled for the day, time to play!!! And yes, I actually ate that piece of snow haha

On the roof again, playing with ice!

Having a little too much fun :)

Cute!!

Well have a seat!

Snow Storm officially transitioned to Ice Storm this day, it was crunchy!

<3 <3 <3

Look at that crazy lady with no socks!!! ;)

It's ok, you can pretend like you don't know us...

Ice throwing contest?

Hi-YA!!! Using my power rangers skills lol

:)

Our parking lot was the new hangout for all the trucks doing donuts, lol

And a few days later....still no thaw!

Finally made it to work Wednesday...

I wouldn't drive on that left lane if I were you!

Roof of the hospital, ice skating rink!!!! :)
The ice finally decided to melt on Saturday.  It was fun getting to blow through all the red lights and stop signs that week though...the cops did it with you. I just pretended to be Michael on a daily basis! (LOL) But seriously, if you stopped moving you weren't going to start again on the ice!!

More to come soon :) Hope you enjoyed the recap! Looks like we aren't going to get ANY snow this year so we feel very blessed to have gotten to enjoy it last January :)

"The Best is Yet to Come"

Yesterday would have been the 85th birthday of an amazing Godly man,
John Robert Wiggins [Michael's Grandaddy]

These are just a few pictures from our wedding of Grandaddy
[& his "bride" :) ]

Almost every time I saw Grandaddy, he would remind me that
"the best is yet to come"
[I had always taken this to mean that we should be looking forward with optimism and joy towards the end of our earthly lives, as that meant we would be beginning our eternal ones with Jesus :)
...a message so fitting for his life!]

I can only imagine what Grandaddy's face must have looked like as he saw his savior in PERSON for the very first time!!

All in all, John Wiggins was an optimistic, content, righteous, encouraging man of God, who always had something inspiring to say.

I believe the best thing we can do in remembrance of Grandaddy is to be the light of Jesus to the world [as he was].

Rest in peace Grandaddy! We will see you again one day...

[Overjoyed]

BOOYAH: 1. "An exclamatory statement, often said when someone is extremely overjoyed".
2. "Sarah's nickname, of which she acquired through it's profound overuse in her vocabulary during graduate school".
3. "The title of this blog, which shall be used for your reading & entertainment pleasure" (lol).
4. "Quite Possibly THE Most Random Blog You Will Ever Read".

Wow, it has been a long time since I updated this blog!! (The last update was October of 2010...yikes!)

As you can imagine, much has transpired since then.

Right before my last update, I had started my first NP job! Shortly after my last update, our apartment was burglarized. Obviously all of our electronics were stolen (including my laptop) . Those events plus the following holiday season totally threw me off track as far as a blog is concerned, and I honestly forgot all about it! Thanks be to God that through my obsessive compulsiveness I had all my data (and pictures!! yay!) backed up on CD's. And also that we had decided to get renter's insurance a few months prior! (NOT a coincidence!!!)

Anyhow, here is a short synopsis of events in the past 15 months!! :)

*It snowed in Atlanta!!! [On Christmas Day, and then we had the most EPIC ice storm in January!]
*We celebrated our one-year with a cruise to the Caribbean <3
*Michael & I both turned 25!
*We took several fun trips to Florida to see friends & family [of course!], Bryson City, NC, [to see the leaves change!], Pennsylvania, Savannah & Helen, GA.
*We had several visitors to Atlanta! Woot!
*We celebrated our 1st & 2nd Holiday seasons together :)

So, let's start with the 1st Holiday Season!! Keep in mind the following pictures are from 2010!!

Next up will most likely be random events of Fall 2010/Spring 2011. I am obviously a fan of doing things in chronological order, lol. After all this updating madness I will get down to business! But until then....enjoy the [picture] ride!
