Good....ol'....Rocky FLOP Woo!

So on my actual birthday Michael and I had tickets to the Florida-Tennessee game in Knoxville! We got up in the morning and had breakfast with the other 2 couples staying in the Inn. Of course I was 10 minutes late getting to breakfast because I thought we could just come out when we wanted but apparently it started at 8:30 am sharp!
We had a very delightful yogurt & fruit parfait, some DELICIOUS cranberry-walnut bread and the main dish shown above: quiche and sausage!

After breakfast we were ready to rock out to the game! But of course we stuck around the Inn for a bit to take more pictures...

The sun came out!

Working on my portfolio lol

So it looks like I am looking down at the next picture, ha!

All dressed up for the Gator game!!

We finally hit the road for Knoxville, which was about 30 minutes away from Sevierville. The first thing we did was visit the "Volunteer Landing".
Here we are!

Woot!

Go Gators!! :)

Hot stuff ;)

After exploring the landing, we bravely ventured onto the University of Tennessee's campus!

Downtown Knoxville in the background!

Pretty creek :)
After all the suspense, we finally ventured into Neyland Stadium for the game!!! WOOHOO!
We are ready!!

Gator chomp action!

My sun-block device, since I didn't want to
wear sunscreen and Michael had an extra shirt!

Here....come....the GATORS! :)

Stylin' and profilin' fools!! lol
After the game (another Gator VICTORY!) we headed back to the Inn, stopping at Taco Bell for some much needed din din and hydration!!
When we got back and walked into our room, there were a few surprises waiting for me! Apparently Michael had mentioned to the Inn hostess it was my birthday, and they had devised a plan of attack lol. And my Momma called up there while we were at the game and requested a cake be made!!
My birthday treats!! :)

Thank you Momma!! You are the best!

Thank you to my wonderful husband :)

Having a midnight snack! yummm
Twas the end of another magnificent birthday :) Stay tuned- the story of the final day of the birthday weekend in Tennessee shall be told, but not today! Tomorrow, perhaps? ;)

Tennessee B&B!

For my birthday weekend Michael took me to a Bed & Breakfast in Sevierville, Tennessee (which is Dolly Parton's hometown btw)!! We drove up Friday afternoon and arrived around 3 to explore the Braeside Inn B&B. Here are a few pictures from the drive and the Inn...

Crossing the state line woot!

Woohoo mountains!!

Beautiful area around the Inn...

Our bathroom!!

"The Buchanan"- our bedroom for the weekend :)

Our room key: all of their rooms were themed in Scottish tribes!

Amazing kitchen

Breakfast table!

Relax on the porch! :)

Ready for dinner!

View from the porch!

Cute!!

Here it is from the bottom of the hill! The bottom level is actually
their house- the top level has 3 bedrooms and is the B&B!
After driving 4 hours and exploring around the Inn, we were ready for some dinner!! We decided to take our hostess's advice and try out a restaraunt in downtown Sevierville!
My attempts at being artsy in the car :)

Yummy bread!!

Tasty- the chicken was so tender!

Best gelato EVER

Bistro 109- a great place to eat in downtown Sevierville!
After dinner it was pretty late, and we were very tired. We came back and relaxed on the rocking chairs outside on the porch in the cool night air, listening to the distant announcements from a high school football game! This day was a great start to my birthday weekend and our little mini-vacay :)

There will be more to come soon as each day was packed with adventure!

Hangin' with the Adham's :)

Sooo Labor Day weekend my Momma decided to come up and visit yay!! We got to do lots of talking, (&shopping of course!) and got to people-watch from the Panera Bread lol!! While she was here we got some of my Christmas shopping done...I know crazy right??? They push it on us so early! I just hate waiting until the last minute and then not getting to enjoy the Christmas season because I'm at the mall!! So this year I was super pro-active!
While my Mom was here we went to a new place to eat called La Madeleine French Bakery and Cafe!! It was sooo good!! They had some of the best blackberry and strawberry jelly ever- and it was homemade!!
Here we are, eating outside at La Madeleine! We like to watch
people walk by :)
I was sad when my Momma had to leave :(  I love it when she comes to visit me!!
On a more random note, my Mom sent me this picture when she was driving home:
That's right folks!! The Oscar Meyer Weinee Mobile!! My Mom got to see it on her way back. How awesome lol. I only wish I had been there!! :)

So late last week I had my first professional interview! It didn't turn out like I thought, but at least it may have opened up other options for me!

Looking all grown up for my interview :)

Michael was off the day I had the interview, so afterwards he took me out to dinner to de-stress :)
We went to a place called the "Park Tavern", which is right on the edge of Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta!! It was so amazing to get to relax outside and enjoy the scenery, then take a walk in the park afterwards!!

There is Piedmont Park in the background!!

Michael, looking cute :)
Me and my Husband :)
Bang Bang shrimp!! Better than the one at Bonefish!!
Yummmmm!
View of the restaurant at night from the park

Atlanta!
We had so much fun that night hanging out by the park :) My husband did a great job planning that evening!!

So in other news, we got new porch furniture to go on our balcony!! My Mom also helped us pick this out while she was in town! Here are some pictures of us enjoying the furniture and eating dinner on the balcony!
Our "inaugural dinner" on the balcony- Chipotle burritos yumm!
Thumbs up!! And yay for Coca Cola haha
Our various beautiful views from the balcony :)

Fall decorations!!

Enjoying "Braised Balsamic Chicken" on our balcony last night :)

The weather is steadily getting cooler up here!! It is still in the 90's during the day but in the mornings and evenings it is very enjoyable!! You all should come visit :)

In Spiritual News
This past Friday Michael and I went to a church choir presentation which was amazing!! It was very long at 3 hours but well worth it!
Saturday all day I was at a Women's Conference led by Lysa Teurkerst, who is an amazing speaker and woman of God. I learned so much about fear, the Holy Spirit, and saying 'Yes' to God no matter what!
Michael and I both tried out Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Monday evening, and we both enjoyed it very much. As of right now we are on a wait list of about 100 people each to get placed in a class, but all the people got on the wait list at the same time so we will see how that goes! BSF runs completely off of volunteers and donations and has done so for 50 years now!!
Tuesday evening I also tried out the Women's bible study at church. There are several different types but I chose to go to the one based off of Lysa's book, "Becoming More Than Just a Good Bible Study Girl". This is what the conference was based on! Life is so much more important than "checking things off your Christian to-do list"...you are to bring glory to God and trust him with everything!!
I'm not sure if I will be able to do both bible studies so I'm waiting on the Holy Spirit's guidance...I'm actually waiting for alot of things!! Bible studies, volunteering, jobs etc....we will see what happens. It is so exciting to know that God has plenty of interesting and challenging things in store for our lives!!

Alright everyone, I must go and prepare to leave town tomorrow. Michael is taking me to a Bed & Breakfast in the Tennessee mountains this weekend for my birthday!!  We will spend tomorrow and Sunday exploring the Gatlinburg area, and all day Saturday in Knoxville for the Gator game...they better win just because it's my birthday!!! LOL
More updates soon, especially since I will have lots of beautiful mountain pictures! Love ya'll!
